Doll!

I finished the doll this afternoon while hanging out in bed and nursing a horrid cold.  I'm really pleased with the little collar, for some reason that's my favorite part.  There are so many different types of dogs, and I was hesitant to make one since I wanted it looking like a dog (obviously), but I wasn't ever sure what kind. My own childhood dog was a dachshund, and I love them so hopefully this resembles our old Zoe. Or actually, hopefully it looks like a puppy! I have all the pictures for the pattern taken except the main pictures of the completed pup.

I'm hoping to get some good ones outside tomorrow but I'll be pretty busy.  I have to go register my little guy for kindergarten & pack because we're headed to Iowa on Tuesday- my husband's grandmother passed this morning. It's very sad, but after all the pain she was in, we're thankful that she's finally gone home.

Iowa WIPs

So we landed here last night and the dang hives were back with a vengeance, I think it may have been due to traveling, leaving our kids to go somewhere far away from where they'd be with my parents, or something along those lines.  I've never been freaked out about traveling before, but we've never really left them behind either.  And we're pretty far away.

Well, today I woke up okay so I got to spend the day visiting and playing cards, drinking yummy hot chocolate and working on WIP's which are going to be cowls for myself and my sister in law.  Mine's the darker green.

Wish me luck, tomorrow I'll be spending the day with my mother in law, whom I am nowhere near like, and get very stressed out near.

I'm going to try to work on some new dolls too.

I'm hoping she'll use it. 

I'm pretty sure she'll like it, and it's soft enough that it won't irritate her neck, and it's a neutral so it'll match most things, and I MADE it so that in itself should at least guilt a couple of times worn. 

Seriously, she is one of the hardest people to give gifts to.  There's so a theme here on my blog too; I'm always trying to find something to please her, and I know it, and it's kind of irritating, but I also can't stop :)
