Bunting

I think that's what you call it. 

I got distracted this evening making hexagons and swatching granny squares for a bunting or garland.  I guess it's called either word, just depends which one you like more.  Anyway, I think I'd mentioned it before but my husband is in the service and left today to be gone until Christmas so I was trying to distract my kids most of the evening with stuff they wanted to do. 

My daughter decided she wanted to decorate around her bed and asked me to make something.  I'd been planning on doing granny-ish type squares in a sort of papel picado type design, but then I thought I'd try hexagons too, since I wanted those :)

I also made a bunch of 1" pin back buttons for my son of all his favorite Star Wars lego characters.  I had him choose right before bed, so in the morning he should be happy to see them all pinned to his backpack. 

So the pattern writing had to wait, I'm going to try to get to it tomorrow morning after I drop the kids off and get the PTO agenda typed up.

2009 Here I come!

Happy New Year everyone, I hope it's been a good day for you all.  As I was going though my google reader this afternoon seeing everyone's resolutions and past projects it got me thinking about mine. 

I'm really not at all good about making and/or keeping resolutions, so as far as goals, all of mine are the same as they always are, hopefully 2009 helps me get closer to achieving them!

In terms of what I did in the past year though- geez, I hadn't realized that I was as productive as I was ;) Especially of late, I've felt pretty ho-hum about my ability to get things done, but it was fun creating a mosaic of some of last years projects, and hopefully this new year will be equally productive, if not more!

I got a button machine for my birthday and just tried it out on some images of some dolls last night.

What do you think?  I think they're cute, and funny.  I may play around with the images a bit to see how I actually want them but I was thinking of adding them to the shop, though I don't know which ones to offer, I don't know if all the dolls should be an option or not.  Oh well, things to consider.
