Hooks

look what's come in the mail! (and a flower blanket pattern update)

Almost everything in this post, save the flower blanket :)

New Clover Soft Touch Steel Crochet Hooks

I ordered some new steel hooks, I'm hoping this will be the impetus needed to get started on some doily things for my mom's Christmas gift.

Sublime Stitching Sexy Librarians pattern

Then the lovely Sublime Stitching Sexy Librarians embroidery pattern, oh, and secretaries, I keep forgetting the part about the secretaries...

Ravelry organic veggie bag

Then the organic veggie tote from Ravelry that I've been coveting, and was so lucky that I checked on Sunday when it was in stock and that I had the paypal funds to swoop it up!

Flower Blanket- almost done

Finally, here's more progress on the flower blanket, I'm planning on the pattern being done by the end of the week.  Not like I have that many days until it's over ;) but really, if I can get off the computer and get to it, it may be finished up tonight since now I only have 1 petal to connect & then a quick go-round the border and voila! it'll be done!

So let's talk hooks...

What do you like to use?

Hamanaka Rakuraku Double ended Crochet Hook Set

These are my absolute favorite to use, the Hamanaka Raku Raku, but I haven't used them much lately.  I've been known to start a project with them, but then I end up using my Clover Soft Touch hooks when I take the project mobile.  I just can't replace these very easily, and don't want to have to, so I have 3 G hooks from Clover that are in the usual rotation.

Clover Lite Size F Crochet hook

I did end up getting some of the Crochet Lite hooks because I thought they were kind of neat, but wasn't sure when I was going to use them since I don't like how squeaky plastic/acrylic hooks are, but they come in handy!  I used one so much while I was making my niece's blanket that I actually needed to buy replacement batteries.  Pretty much because most of the time that I was working on it was on the way places, like to a Lakers game, or to visit my aunt, or to Sea World and then ended up in the dark on the way back home.  I still don't think I'll use them for amigurumi, but for looser things they seem to be okay in a pinch.

So that's all for now, there'll definitely be more discussion about hooks since I like to try out different ones frequently.
